UxBridge College Basketball and the Thames Valley Cavaliers are pleased to announce the strengthening of their agreement to form a partnership for elite player development and promoting basketball within the area.
The partnership will allow Uxbridge College Academy players, which currently compete in the Academy Basketball League (ABL), the opportunity to play in Basketball England's National Basketball League (NBL) with the Thames Valley Cavaliers teams. Thames Valley will also provide Uxbridge College Academy experienced coaches that are dedicated to building an elite academy. This partnership will provide Uxbridge College Academy players the opportunity to understand the value of competing and winning, an elite proven basketball development pathway, an opportunity to stretch their skills by playing at higher levels and to maximise their own personal development.
Shayne Chandler, Sports Academy Co-ordinator said "Uxbridge College's Basketball Academy is proud to welcome this opportunity to expand the potential for young people training and paying with Thames Valley Cavaliers. Our partnership with the club already puts power behind the Academy's work, and through investing in our ambition for Uxbridge College to become the West London centre of excellence for basketball, we are supporting our students to aim even higher and go even further. Young people in the Basketball Academy can be confident of an excellent level of coaching and support in everything they do, from training in our professional-level basketball hall, to playing at the highest levels in both the youth and adult National Leagues."
The Cavaliers will benefit with utilising the first-class facilities at Uxbridge College that includes the sports hall that meets NBL and FIBA standards and the gym that will provide both the team and the academy a first-class strength and conditioning programme that has the latest cardio and resistance training equipment. Uxbridge College will also provide Thames Valley an influx of young talent to transition to the clubs NBL programme.

Uxbridge College provides us an outstanding home base that meets' the requirements for NBL Division 1. WE also look forward to driving healthy life styles and basketball awareness in our community, which includes running our Saturday morning Youth Basketball Academy and to commence a Central Venue League in the near future."
